Ashly designed the CLX-51 and CLX-52 to improve the performance and usability of their predecessors. Each unit features the same basic circuit, but with lowered noise and distortion. A "threshold" control has been added to the original "gain" and "output" controls so there are now many ways to deal with any gain structure.
